Monkey + Seal know what it's like to abandon a dream. Both of us left art behind to do what society deemed safe and "a sure thing" - we both ended up going to UC Berkeley to get degrees in things like Biology and English. Far cries from doing art for a living.

However, despite many social pressures to find "careers" right out of college, we instead decided to take a plunge and go back to study art. While working part-time and attending full-time, we managed to struggle through the rigors of art school, taking on huge loans in order to finally graduate with yet another Bachelor's, but this time in Illustration and Animation.

Now, we curate gallery shows, create concept art for films, work as freelance illustrators, and sell our work in craft fairs and online. We managed to chase the dream, and now we want to help you find yours.

If you live in the San Francisco Bay Area, we'll be happy to meet with you in person. If you live father away or would rather meet in proxy, we can talk over the phone, via Skype, or some other fancy technology-enabled method of your choosing.

To hire either Monkey or Seal, the first hour is $30 and subsequent hours are $75. To book a consultation session with both of us the investment is $125 per hour.

If you schedule a session with us, you have to give our advice and any exercises we have to offer one month. We'll be honest - you probably aren't going to go from engineer to painter overnight (you might, but it would be the exception to the case). But, if you follow our advice and are willing to put in the work, we know you will make it eventually.
